START UP BUSINESS AWARD 2023
Entrants must be able to show how their business has progressed in line with their business plan. Success will be proven by the business and its employees having a clear understanding of their products, competitors and the marketplace in which the business operates. Existing business under new management are ineligible in this category.

First drive-in Powys Business Awards declared a big success
The first ever drive-in Powys Business Awards on the Newtown campus of NPTC Group of Colleges was declared a big success as the event was blessed with fine weather last Friday night. Organised by Mid Wales Manufacturing Group (MWMG), the awards were held outdoors as a health safety precaution because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The awards showcase business excellence across Powys and this attracted more entries than ever.

2021 BUSINESS AWARD FINALISTS REVEALED
Businesses from across the breadth of Powys are represented in the county’s premier business awards.
Despite a hiatus in 2020 the highly popular competition sees 21 businesses shortlisted for the different award categories in this year’s Powys Business Awards. Winners will be chosen following judging interviews which will take place over the summer months, winners will be announced at an awards dinner to be held on Friday October 8th in Newtown.
County’s premier business awards is back
The Powys Business Awards, which began in 2009, were launched today (Wednesday, June 30) after being cancelled last year due to the Covid pandemic. This year sees a range of categories added to recognise the diverse mix of business sectors located within the County including Small Business Growth and Technology & Innovation.

Businesses in Powys are being urged not to delay to ensure their entries into the 2019 Powys Business Awards competition. The deadline for entries is Friday 12th July with applications able to be submitted online or via post.
